Shootin' the Shit and Getting Support
Last Friday the Mr. Bricks crew gathered to shoot the exciting, insane murderous promo for Mr. Bricks: A Heavy Metal Murder Musical! If you haven't seen it check it out:
The Bricks crew worked really hard and the whole shoot took 4 to 5 hours. The energy behind this movie is incredible. That being said, it is so important as working filmmakers/actors/musicians to have support. Support is the best thing (besides money to shoot the film!) we can have. It takes so much to shoot an independent film and if there is no support, it is nearly impossible. So if you know someone who is working extra hard on a project of passion give them support! Your kind words will go a long way.
Now on to business. The next step for the Bricks crew is another script read through and to finish recording and polishing the songs. Shooting begins in March! Doing a low budget musical is no easy task, but we are up to the challenge. Recording the songs means putting in late nights on top of a day job and then hustling back to that same day job the next morning and doing the whole thing over again. But it is worth it, the music is incredible as well as the actors and the script.
Below is the opening number for the movie called "What is a Victim?" It is a demo version but please take a listen and comment, we would love to hear your feedback. the song was written by Dane Robinson and Travis Campbell.
Until next time,
Brick by Brick, we'll make our movie
